Why Detour?:

when only the best will do

Now, this detour is definitely worth the challenge – should you choose to accept it.

The Brisbane Club is Queensland’s premier business club. Epicurean excellence is the hallmark of the Brisbane Club, which boasts one of the finest dining rooms in the city, as well as a unique 18 000 bottle wine cellar, housing some of the world’s best wines.

But – sadly, it is only open to members and their guests.

This I cannot help you with. However, if you know a prominent businessperson in Brisbane, I’m sure you can score an invitation.

The Executive Chef is Caleb Bilewicz – a classically trained chef who has worked with Rick Stephen, Shannon Kellam and others – and has been with the Brisbane Club for over 12 years. Caleb’s menu is innovative, varied and exciting as he offers a diverse menu at the Brisbane Club, catering for every members whim and fancy. From High Tea to degustation lunches and gourmet truffle dinners – even classic lambs fry and bacon, he is well regarded for his epicurean excellence achieved through thought-provoking events.

If you do get the opportunity to dine in one of the finest dining rooms in Brisbane, you will not be disappointed. Well worth the detour – if you can.
